EDI Data Curation and Archival Data Fellowship at UMBS

Project Overview
Research Core Areas:
Project Abstract:
The UM Biological Station (UMBS) ecoinformatics and data management staff have created an information management system to curate and publish data and metadata related to science conducted at the field station in Pellston, Michigan. We have several project possibilities in mind involving the curation and publication of National Science Foundation (NSF) sponsored projects and historic long term data. Additionally, we are redesigning our information management system and have opportunities to build novel data visualization and migrate data into new systems. The exact project will be defined by UMBS needs, interest(s) by the candidate, and time constraints to complete work during summer session. The fellows will receive training in data management and gain hands-on experience through participation in data preparation, archiving and publishing with scientists at specific host research sites.
