BVOC Composition of White Pine Needles in FASET and Ameriflux

Summary
Abstract:

These data quantify the abundance of biogenic volatile organic compounds (BVOCs) in needles of white pine (Pinus strobus) trees. White pines sampled were located in plots subject to removal by girdling of early successional species (aspens and birches) or control plots which experienced no girdling. Data were collected in the summer of 2012 at the University of Michigan Biological Station (UMBS). Physical descriptions of sampled trees such as age and diameter and environmental descriptors are also included.
