|Title||The importance of turions in the propagation of Myriophyllum exalbescens (Haloragidaceae) in Douglas Lake, Michigan|
|Publication Type||Journal Article|
|Year of Publication||1972|
The plants of M. exalbescens which are present in Douglas Lake were produced to a large extent by turions. The factors which initiate turion formation and germination are not known. However, from this study it is clear that turion formation can be an important means of reproduction for this species.
