Delores Louwers from Farwell called up in November, 2007 (989 588-9788) asking about the naming of Douglas Lake. She says her great grandfather, Joseph, was a carpenter on the lake and that family tradition has it that the lake was named for him. He came originally from Canada and his name was Dugas.
